SLOWCOACHING

“Alexa give me a dreamy roadtrip montage shot on film type beat”
– Bryce Mills (triple J)

From his computer chair to the live stage, Slowcoaching, the solo moniker for Dean Valentino, has expanded his dream-pop vision to something far more audacious and vivid. Taking euphoria head on, Slowcoaching creates a focussed aura of hazy nostalgia through his musical stylings.

In the midst of lockdown 2020, Slowcoaching wrote and recorded home EP, ‘motoroma; a time lapse’, blending moments of vulnerability with soul-searching lyrics, often filled with comedic brutality. Single, ‘Everything’s Alright’ shines a completely new light on the Slowcoaching project, igniting a new style of raw and sentimental music.

Having shared the stage with artists like Spacey Jane, Haley Heynderickx (USA), Tia Gostelow and Heaps Good Friends

Following recent collaboration with Sydney’s, Gloomie, Slowcoaching is now on the path towards his debut record, which is set for release later this year. Teaming up with longtime friend, James Freeman, the album is a significant step forward for the project, drawing influences from Kate Bush, Ennio Morricone & everything in between.
